About Us
Capital Tree Service Inc started serving Southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands in 2004 and has grown to become the largest locally owned Tree Service on Vancouver Island. Capital Tree Service makes quality management a very high priority and is proud of it’s track record of high quality. Our quality management program spans all areas of our enterprise and involves management regularly reviewing production with onsite visits to ensure that every specification and quality requirement is met.
Capital Tree Service is an active corporate citizen in the areas in which we work. Each year we participate in multiple fund raising activities benefiting the local food bank, Saanich Volunteer Society, and Santa’s Anonymous. In addition, for the past 3 years we have conducted Christmas Tree Chipping, benefiting local charities (The Saanich Volunteer Society).
Employees are evaluated and rewarded for hard work, productivity, safety, creativity, attitude and education. We fund industry education, certification and safety training for all Capital Tree Service employees. We believe in compensating our employees competitively and offering incentives for commitment, loyalty and productivity. As a result in our commitment to employees we have a very low turnover rate.
Due to the risks inherent in the arborist industry maintaining high quality work is of paramount importance to our company and is continually reinforced with each of our employees. The size of Capital Tree Service has enabled us to place a priority with each crew on the importance of consistency and resulted in a very high level of service.
Steve Taylor is the President and Owner of Capital Tree Service. Steve was a Junior Hockey player for the Victoria Salsa from 1995-1999 and received the Citizenship Award for his involvement in volunteer organizations. In 2005, Steve received the Mayors Accommodation. Because of Steve’s commitment to Victoria, Capital Tree Service has been involved in a number of charitable organizations.
Steve is an active family man; He is the father of three boys and believes in helping his employees be active in their families and community. Steve is proud of the work that Capital Tree Service does in making Victoria a safer, more beautiful place to live.
Capital Tree Cares about keeping Victoria beautiful, which is why we participate in and sponsor programs such as the BC Adopt a Highway initiative. We at Capital Tree believe that giving back to the community is all part of running a socially responsible business.
